SUDS Presents: The Normal Heart

  • The Cellar Theatre, Sydney (map)

The Normal Heart
By Larry Kramer

31 May - 3 June and 7-10 June
The Cellar Theatre

It's summer 1981 in New York City, men are men and shorts are short. After years of political activism, gay folks are carelessly enjoying the results of sexual liberation. It's hot, fun, and steamy. That is, until a mysterious disease starts infecting young people, one after the other.

In the midst of the chaos of what will later be known as the beginning of the AIDS epidemic, a writer and a doctor are going to try and save as many of their friends and loved ones as possible, while their deepest convictions are shattering in front of the cruel emergency caused by a vicious killer.

Join us to witness the fight of relentless modern heroes and to remember the lives lost in this tragedy.
