In the literary world of Paris, a young poet and soldier Cyrano de Bergerac struggles with his biggest insecurity: his nose. In a … misguided … attempt to woo his one true love Roxane, Cyrano ends up engaging in a little bit of, shall we say, fraudulent misrepresentation.
Love letters, mistaken identity, bromance, war, and a lot of nose related humour ensue. This play is a romance/comedy/tragedy whose plot has stood the test of time (see adaptations like The Half of it, #Roxy, that one episode of futurama*) and this Company adaptation is a witty and poignant adventure into 17th Century France.
* Do not see, for reference, Sierra Burgess is a Loser. Despite also being an adaptation of Cyrano, we do not associate ourselves with it. It’s not very good. Ours is much better.
