The Euterpe Project is excited to announce their debut appearance! This one night only event held in collaboration with the SUDS Summer Season presents an amalgamation of minimalist and ambient music as well as the live premiere of Sydney/Brisbane-based composer Dale Schlaphoff’s work ‘suburbia’ in a new trio arrangement for synthesisers, piano and tape. PROJECT 001 will see the combination of traditional performance, electronic improvisation and performance art, synthesising a unique approach to the concert-going experience and utilising a variety of mediums including the visual, spatial and sonic.

Tickets are strictly limited. If you miss out, not to worry, the digital premiere will go live not long after the event on The Euterpe Project's IGTV.

///

The Euterpe Project is an autonomous, new-music collective. Led by three young musicians with a passion for presenting improvised or newly composed music as well as adapting ‘old music’ into new formats. Daniel Baykitch and Jacob Lawler both study Music Performance at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music and are keen to find ways to incorporate their principal study instruments of woodwinds into new music in conjunction with digital instruments such as DAW and Synthesisers. Dale Schlaphoff is studying Music Composition at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane and is passionate about new music creation, improvisation and experimentation working in both electronic and acoustic mediums.
