About the Play:
“Rent: The Musical (No, Not That Rent)” is a comedic country musical about the trials, triumphs, and travesties of the search for a rental in the Inner West. Musically influenced by the country-pop anthems of the nineties and naughties, “Rent” takes inspiration from artists like The Chicks and Garth Brooks. It is camp, frivolous, and brimming with excess - a cathartic lamentation on the sorry state of Sydney rentals.
