Drugs, sex, and… Vengaboys? Troy’s House is an ode to salacious suburban Canberra and the teenagers who came of age there in 1997. Felicity and Troy have been mates since early childhood. Recently graduated from high school, they plan to spend the summer skiving off and punching cones and falling in love and fucking around. However, when Felicity meets the enigmatic Ben, she begins to feel her adolescence slipping away. She sees glimpses of a bright future she might have if she only escapes Canberra, and grimaces at what might cling to her if she decides to stick around.

Maybe she belongs here, with Troy and his mum and their warm casks of Lambrusca. But maybe, just maybe, she’s outgrown Troy’s house and the scrappy ratbags that call it home.
