SUDS has a new initiative – Foreign Language Plays! This will be a collection of short plays written by students in a foreign language. It’s an opportunity to embrace the linguistic diversity of student theatre in writing, directing, performing and being part of a production team in a number of foreign language pieces!

We encourage people to use this opportunity to direct and experiment in languages other than just English. We hope to be able to create a safe theatre space for people who grew up with different cultural backgrounds. The pieces will be small plays, with the hopes of experimentation, fun and welcoming of new members of SUDS. If you haven’t done a production with us before but want to direct, we strongly encourage you to apply! We will also provide assistance and support throughout the process to ensure you feel comfortable and confident in your pieces. Still unsure?
